Compression of Color Images

چکیده
In this chapter we intend to cover the basic aspects of color image compression. Basic aspects of color images can be found elsewhere in this book and compression details can also be easily found in the literature. Even though we give a very brief introduction to compression methods, we intend to explore the issues pertaining to the intersection of the two topics (compression and color) without extending into them individually.
